4d smoket led and power won't turn on

The PID controller won't turn on?  My first suggestion would be to try a different outlet or try something that you know works in that outlet you were using to see if it has power.  My second suggestion would be to remove the back of the smoker and follow all the cord wires to ensure that they aren't loose or shorted out.

Welcome, Tony!  I hate it that your first post with us is a problem!!  Was the smoker working before, or is it new, out of the box and DOA?  In either case, I would contact Steve if Dave's advice doesn't pan out.  If the smoker was previously working, I would certainly try a different outlet.  You'd be surprised at how many times we find things like this to be a simple power issue!  Let us know how it goes, and how we can help!

New 4D, new forum member, 1st and only post! No reply to Tony or Dave!!! Wonder if he just remembered to plug it in and all is well now.

You could drop by and ask him... he's practically in our back yards;  just south of the Lewisville dam off of 121.

Larry, if you have contact info on him send it to via PM. I will certainly reach out to him. He is very close. Did not see him on the map.

OK, I had second thoughts about my post yesterday concerning the original post and was considering removing it. I did reach out and talk with Tony about his problem he had last year.
As you can see I did remove the post I did yesterday, it didn't fit the atmosphere of this site anyway, my bad.  Now the UPDATE:  SMOKIN-IT, (Steve) talked with him last year, sent him the items needed to replace and ALL IS WELL. He said he turned it on after replacing and rewiring and it works like a CHAMP! Asked me to call him later this afternoon as he getting a business call, which I will do. Thanks you Larry for the suggestion, we might have a new DFW smoking buddy. Once again the Customer Service from this company proves itself second to none.

Doug - When you communicated with Tony, did he by chance talk about relocating the SSR similar to your smoker by-pass?

He did Dave, replaced the back with new location of heat sink. Sounded like the same as mine. He kept saying how awesome the customer service was. I ask him to come back on the forum and share some of his smoking experience with everyone. Hope DM sees this sometime so he will know how his recommending he call Steve helped this guy out. Guess we will just have to wait and see. Said he didn’t smoke much in winter so it might be a while.
