I have a opportunity to buy a SmokinTex commercial analog smoker with two heating elements and I would like to convert it to digital/Wi-Fi with the addition of a Smokin-it digital - Wi-Fi controller. I've looked at the available electrical information from Smokin-it but can't find anything about the SmokinTex electrical setup.

I don't think this would be too difficult but would like input from others before jumping in. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The posts under Auber Tips and Tricks will be you best source of information for converting an analog SI smoker to digital. There are a lot of posts to weed through. The wifi controllers are made by AUBER.

If it were easy to do, I'd tell you I'd trade my digital wi-fi controller on my 3D for a kit to make it an analog smoker.

The easiest way is to buy an Auber controller , they will tell you which one you need for the size Smikin Tex you have. It's about $180- $200 depending on which model and if you want WIFI, thats if im remembering right but it's in the ball park. It's a sealed unit that is plug and play and can be removed, you don't need to remove the analog. AUBER is who makes the digital units and programs for the Smokin It smokers.
