Chilly temps....

...have me concerned about holding a 5-6 hr smoke on my 5D. Living up here in north central PA, we've been experiencing particularly cold temps for a while now. Sub-zero mornings and not much warmer than single digits for daytime highs. I'm caught now with about 60lbs of venison Bologna that needs smoked and not sure what...if anything...I must do differently in these temps. My smoker is under roof but sits in outside ambient temperatures. Today's forecast has a high of 20⁰F today so I plan on going for it...unless anyone with experience suggests I should reconsider. Would prefer to use my SI rather than babysit one of offsets in these temps.
Thanks for any insight.

Thanks for the suggestions David. I held off pressing the D5 into service yesterday deciding to give my cold smoke generator a deep clean instead. I have a welder's blanket that I use on one of my offsets and it helps, but will look at the one you suggested from HomeD.
I have never seen this on my SI smoker and I'm not suggesting it would happen but I have seen similar controller displays go squirrely in extreme cold temps. Since I do not have the WiFi version, I rely entirely on the smoker mounted controller as my user interface and worry about the display maybe going "ghost" in the middle of my cook. Will probably reach out to Steve tomorrow to get his thoughts on this.
Thanks again for your leg work in checking into this and for your suggestion.
