Testing wall mount probe before install & off a few degrees

I just tested my wall mount probe in boiling water & she will not exceed 209F. Is there an offset in the Auber where I can add the 3 degrees like on a meter? Im about to go check the meat probe now. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

You can set an offset by using lock code 166.  Press and hold SET until Lck is in the left window.  Use + to dial in 166, press SET again.  Set SC1 (offset for probe one) to +3.  Cycle through the rest of the settings.  You can also set an offset for probe 2 (SC2).

Tony you know of any way to test the probes in a 3D? Last weekend when smoking the ribs, the fixed probe was about 6 degrees off from my Maverick probe.

Same way, Andy.  Fill a glass with mostly ice, and a little water, and tilt it so you can get the end of the box probe in the glass.  Set your program to C01 "0", so the element won't come on during testing.  You should see 32 in the left window.  Put the meat probe in the glass next, and see what reading is in the right window.  Then, set the offsets accordingly.
