Registering and comments

Got around to registering my smoker last night.  Was sort of surprised to see very few comments so I added my own. But then again I reckon most do their commenting here.

I thought it appropriate to use the section and make a one time comment/declaration on what I actually believe regarding my SI 3D. Just found it strange that there were so few comments when it only takes a minute or so.

Honestly, Dave, the store website is outdated, and most just use it as a portal to buy products.  The forum has vastly outgrown the usefulness of the website comments, and recipe, sections.  I believe the vast majority of folks that buy, now, have either made up their minds already, or have come here for advice and help deciding.  I don't worry much about the review section on the website, because anyone can see that the real reviews live here, every day!

You know, I've never registered my 3-D. Always figure that with data the way it is, it's pretty much documented when I bought it and when I got it. Not too worried, as I'm sure I'll be taken care of if there's an issue. But, I guess I should log it in..........Thanks for the reminder

I think Steve started the registration thing because so many people asked about it - they're used to companies not knowing who they are as soon as they buy!  Steve taking care of a customer will never change, so I'm not sure how truly important registering actually is.

Yep!  Never hurts, but I wouldn't lose much sleep over it!
