Received my first smoker Friday afternoon.  Had to wait for the snow to slow down to season it.  Ran my first batch of ribs tonight.  Very good results.  Only one question, one of my racks had a cross piece come loose on one side.  Is this normal?  Thanks for the input.

Hello from NJ William...and welcome to the show!!! I have not even had a chance to get out to the patio to season my smoker, so you are already a step ahead!  Today was the first day that anything actually began to thaw...only about a foot of ice to go ;)

As for the loose cross piece on the rack...it does not sound normal to me.  Customer service is your number one option to get the best response!!

Welcome aboard and congrats on your first some.  This forum is a world of knowledge.  If you use it and advice from those that have been smoking for years it will amaze you what comes out of the smoker

Welcome, William!  A shelf bracket coming loose is definitely not "normal!"  In fact, this is the first one I've heard of.  Text or email Steve - he'll make it right.  260-417-9951, or smokin.it.info@gmail.com.  Text is your best option to get him quickly.

Welcome William....hope the weather clears a bit for you...I am STILL waiting for the ice to thaw from my BBQ area.  It is driving me nuts and I cannot wait for the warmup!!!
