Give a holler if you're from Oregon

I just purchased a #3 today and am anxious to get some salmon in it after the new box gets seasoned. If you're from the Portland area drop me a line. Also check out Sheridan Fruit Company. They sell groceries, spices in bulk and have a great meat department. But the most important mention is that they offer a large selection of wood chunks for your smoker. They even have hunks of former bourbon barrels.

Welcome Mckenzie, I'm south of you down here near Eugene. Your gonna love this place lots of great information.

Howdy Mcinore, I pass through Eugene a lot in the autumn to get to Oakridge. I forage a lot of Chanterelle mushrooms in that area. Yes I've learned a lot in the brief time I've been looking at the forum. After managing to smoke meats slowly with a tiny metal tinder box on my gas grill, I'm ready to do utilize a real smoker. I noticed your bear icon. Do you hunt? Smoke bear?
My friend got one last season. It's his favorite, but he's never smoked any. Thank you for the shout out.

Yes I do a lot of hunting, the pic is off one of my trail cams. I've never tried to smoke bear but it could be a possibility.

Welcome from the oldest city in America, Saint Augustine Florida, 450 years and still kick in!

P.S. I am not that old, but still kick in!
