Checking your temperature

A lot of folks like checking their smoker temperature with an auxillary device such as the Maverick using the ice water and boilling water method for checking accuracy and or calibrating.  Here are a couple of links that allow one to determine the boiling point of water based upon their altitude.

I found it interesting.  I wonder how skewed temps may be with this info.  Maybe not much, if at all.
