Catalpa wood

Does anybody have experience with smoking with catalpa? If not, I think I will try it and report back to the group.

The roots are considered "highly poisonous", as kids were were told not to eat the seeds from the pods. It is not something that I would mess with. So many known safe and tasty woods out there, why take risks?
