I have a driveway that slopes down from the concrete pad in the garage.  I built a plywood platform that I roll my grill out on to keep it level.  Planned on using same for the smoker.  My question is will it be safe to have the smoker sit on that plywood platform?

The smoker has legs.  Should never get more than warm at plywood level. Mine is on a wooden cart and have never had any issue with heat below the smoker.

Just finished my seasoning smoke.  No issues with my plywood platform.  Split the hickory cubes sent with the unit in half and placed 3 in the box.  All were just about ash, so I'm assuming the heating element is consistent throughout.  Anxious for the first smoke!

Yes, mine sits in a wooden cart too.  And the top is covered with PVC sheeting.  No issues with heat after many smokes.
