I almost did an impulse buy on the 10" slicer.  However, when I started looking around I found that the sale is good, but not quite as good as it sounds.  For instance, Field & Stream (which is apparently Dick's Sporting Goods) has a list price of $480 and sale price of $360 (25%).  However, several places have an everyday price of $380 so the sale is really only about 5% + free shipping.

That said... thank you!  I still have to decide if I'm going to pull the trigger...

Good catch.  Read about the sale on another site and thought it might be of use here.  When I got my grinder from a store in Minnesota, it was priced pretty low and they allowed an additional discount for signing up for email plus free shipping.  It does pay to shop around.  Thanks!
