So yesterday with temps above freezing my 2D Smoker ran 3 hour test with no problems. I'm still going to upgrade the GFIC to be safe. Hopefully that will cover down to 10-15f

Thanks ... my first thought was sustained load on GFIC. Its a 20amp circuit, BUT I believe it is only a 15amp GFIC. The cold weather is another factor with it drawing more to overcome ambient. I'll keep yall posted

I've been seeing a lot of positive reviews for smokinpecan pellets for other type smokers. They also sell the raw shells, the pellets are pulverized compressed shell. Has anyone tried either form ? If so How did it compare to pecan wood?
