Temperature indicators scratched upon arrival

I recently received my #1. When it arrived, upon Unboxing, I noticed the numbers around the temperature selector were scratched. Makes it a bit hard to see the numbers. I called and left a message but did not hear back. Has anyone ran into this? I would think after a time they would all become this way. I suppose you could use a marker or tape (or just memorize the settings). Any suggestions? I still love the smoker!

Sorry to hear that!  It happens occasionally, though.  Steve will send you a replacement plate.  Leave him a message, send a text or an email.  It's Friday after Thanksgiving, so I'd expect him to get back with you Monday.

Great idea DivotMaker, thanks. I just sent an email. I hate to be picky but this little smoker is so nice I am temped to use it as a piece of furniture when not in use.
