First Smoke ?'s

Got the Sasha Flavor Saver, should I hang it or set it on the floor and should I place the 7# butt in the highest rack position ?
 
Tuck directly next to wood box @ back floor of smoker. Trying to place it where it will be the hottest.
 
I like to leave about three inches above highest point of any meat to the top which promotes even smoke circulation and heat distribution ... which means it could be any slot as it just depends on the cut thickness.
