    Chips caught on fire

    Tried running my smoker for the third time today. I tried chips with the screen for the first time and they caught on fire, a huge flame when I opened it. Is this normal? And if not, what can I do to prevent it?

    Wood chunk size

    How big should my blocks of wood be? I am seasoning my new 3D right now,  and out of the whole bag of wood that came with it, only two pieces were small enough so that the lid would sit properly.
