    Want to try a bone in turkey breast so here's the question.The one I found says minimally enhanced with a 18% solution of water salt etc,so do I need to brine or just rub it down and put in smoker?Thanks in advance.

    Ribs this weekend

    Gonna fire the #2 up this weekend for its first smoke with some ribs was wondering is there any advantage to putting the wood dowels in whole or if you split em and put them in the fire box flat side down ? Thanks in advance.

    Model 2 arrived yesterday,sucks its only Tuesday now just need Maverick to get here which leads me to my question,is there a recomended place to put the probe to monitor the temp in the smoker? Thanks in advance.

    New model2

    Just finished ordering my model 2,seems from everything I have read it is important not to use to much wood so I was wondering has any one used a charcoal briquet with there wood or would it just be overkill ? Thanks in advance.
