Trying to smoke some ribs by time. Set temp to 225 but unit does not climb above 175-180. Made sure probe was not on anything and noticed the temp dropped when I lifted the probe slightly. Finally removed Auber and am cooking by the dial which turned off burner when I dropped the dial to 220. I...

Anyone else have any issues with the braid breaking on the probe 1 tip? I thought I was being careful but it seemed to get brittle after about 10 smokes
