I made an exhaust for my sm2 and so far I'm very pleased.  I have used this mod twice on rainy days w/ no issues.

My power light indicator only stays on when the element turns on then turns off during a cook when the element is idle.  Is that normal or should it be on all the time when in use even when the element is not heating?  It's not a big deal just curious.

I just received my model 2 today and when I turned it on to season it the power indicator light did not work.  Everything else is working fine but I want to fix the light.  From what I've read most of the wire connections are behind the back pannel?  I contacted Steve but I figured I would ask...

Anyone here ever smoked ring bologna?  I'm wondering if the heavier casings on ring bologna are porous enough to let the Smoke penitrate the casing.

I just ordered a model 2 And was wondering if it would go higher then 250 degrees w/ an auber pid?  If so how high will it go?

It looks like smokin-it is currently throwing in a cover and cord hook w/ purchase of any of their smokers.  If I order the smoker will they just automatically send the hook and cover or do I need to order them and later get a refund?

What's the most ribs, pork butts, brisket, etc..that you fit into your model 1?

This is a newb question I'm sure.  Where does the auber hook into the smoker to control the electric element?  Also how hot can you get a model 2 w/ auber connected?
