    Peterson Pucks

    Did my first smoke last night using cherry Peterson pucks, and it turned out pretty good.  We smoked a 1.5 lb pork loin seasoned with garlic and cracked black pepper.  Used 2 pucks in my #1 and they smoked the whole 2 1/2 hours.  The flavor was great!  I would recommend giving the pucks a try. ...

    Chicken Wings

    Anyone ever smoke chicken wings? What temp and for how long should I go? Can't use a temp probe for this one. Any suggestions?  ???

    Water pan?

    Water pan or no water pan in the smoker?  I see that some people add some water pans in the smoker while smoking.  I've only had smokers that use a water pan to keep the food moist.  Is it a matter of preference, or does the liquid really make a difference in the meat?  Any advice?  Thanks all.

    Favorite Wood

    I really like the flavor fruit wood gives meat.  I smoked a Turkey and used apple and cherry wood, and the flavor was amazing.  Alder also gives a good light smokey flavor.  Mesquite is just to strong for me most of the time, so hickory and pecan are my choices most other times.  Anyway, just my...

    Going 4 it!

    After many hours if research, my wife is allowing me to get the little fella.  I'm looking forward to getting this thing fired up and smoking.  Have had several smokers up to now, but nothing close to the quality of this bad boy.  Hoping this will stand the test of time.  Glad this forum is up...
