I know most use disposable pans for added moisture in Their smoker, but what do you think about putting a couple of beer cans next to the burner? Would that be effective? I’m new.
Two questions:
How many wood chips will make an ounce? I don't have my scale yet and want to use up my chips before I buy chunks.
Also, with the chunks, can I make the smoke last longer if I soak one for a few hours before I start using it then leave the other one dry to get smoke quicker?
I used a "stick burner" for years and recently decided to buy an electric smoker for the convenience on days when I don't have time to babysit the fire box. I purchased a Masterbilt MES140 and I don't have to tell you how that experience went >:(. I ordered my Smokin-it #2 on Saturday and it...
I am looking at the #2 because the #1 is just a little too small for what I need. I have a cabin that is about an hour from my home. Is this unit light enough that two people could easily lift in and out of a pickup truck to transport? Or is that not recommended? Thanks for any info.
