I am seasoning my new 3D today.  I have a screen for the firebox since I have a lot of wood chips remaining from my old smoker.  Does it matter if I use the screen while using wood chunks in the future?  Thanks!

My old Masterbuilt died after 9 years and after several days of research I decided to order the 3D model.  I'm excited and now anxious to receive it.  I'm looking forward to learning from the members of this forum as I figure out a new smoker. Chuck
