Pretty interesting. I am trying to decide if it is worth the money though. :)

I looked through the various similar knives on Amazon and found the one that I think I like the best (if I were to get one) as it has 3 different options:

Smokin-It #3 (purchased in 2014) that replaced a Masterbuilt XL (ugh) and a 10+ Year-Old Big Chief (still used for fish), and few others over the years, along with variety of Weber Gas/Charcoal Grills, Anova Sous Vide, etc. devices.

Just FYI, pure butter will keep at room temperature as long as you keep it covered. I have been doing this for years. I do not think it works with margarine.

I do the same thing, Brian. But, I have found that my butter is a lot firmer in the winter because I keep my house a lot colder in the winter to try to save on electricity and a lot warmer in the summer for the same reason. In the summer I have no problems spreading my butter. ;) But, in the winter it would be nice to have one of these new-fangled gadgets.

I don't leave margarine out, though.

If you get a butter bell, just be sure to change the water every day.  I was using one for a while and let it go several days, and had some weird things growing in the water when I went to use it. Yuck
