I kindasortsalmost agreed with the post:  they both consist of a box, wheels, racks, heating element, controller, use wood for smoke.  From there on I tried to promote SI.

Sounds like you've really mastered the art of diplomacy!

Thanks.  I sometimes employ obfuscation so as to not be deliberately rude or obnoxious in my response. But I think I made my point regarding sameness and comparability.

Looks like the person who started that poll bought a Smokin-it!!!  Kudos to everyone here who popped into that poll to offer their opinions and reviews of SI!!

It took me a while to reply - but I decided on the Smokin-it, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. Definitely wins for ease of use by a long shot, and my apartment's not filling up with smoke anymore! Winner.

Was on SMF again yesterday plugging away. Good to get out and visit the neighbors, so to speak.

I tried to walk the tightrope over on the other forum on the thread over there today.

A user typed a pretty misleading statement stating that the MES 40 was similar in size to the "$1600 model".

I was just trying to ensure that they were comparing apples to apples.
