Hello from Wisconsin. I conditioned my brand new #2 yesterday. All ready for an inaugural run with baby backs and spare ribs tomorrow before the snow and the following below zero high temps next week.

Welcome from ND. Unfortunately, it sounds like we're going to get it right before you.
The good thing is these smokers perform very well in the cold. I smoked a butt last year in -20 and didn't have any problems at all maintaining temp.

Smokin-It #3 (purchased in 2014) that replaced a Masterbuilt XL (ugh) and a 10+ Year-Old Big Chief (still used for fish), and few others over the years, along with variety of Weber Gas/Charcoal Grills, Anova Sous Vide, etc. devices.

Good to hear NDKoze. I went to Grad School at UND and come back each fall to duck hunt in the McClusky area.

Welcome, eater! It'd be great to see a first name and town in your signature line, so we don't have to call you shade eater!
We like to know who our new friends are, just like family!
Welcome aboard!

theeaterofshades, Welcome from IA. The #2 is a good choice. I just got mine around Christmas and have done 3 smokes and all have tasted great. Hard to go wrong with the great community of folks here. Let us know how the inaugural run of ribs went.
