Title: New "Hero" Members!
Post by: DivotMaker on February 03, 2014, 09:50:29 PM: As our "little" forum grows, I'd like to congratulate our newest "Hero" members! These are folks who have posted more than 250 times! That kind of activity shows a commitment to our cause - making the best Q possible in the best smokers available!

I don't think we even had very many "Full" members when I joined, so this is exciting! ;D

Special shout out to old sarge-dave, if not for your words of wisdom i may not have bought a smoker. You can always cook less in a #3 then cook more in a #2.

Ditto on this. I was all set to buy a MES 40 until Old Sarge pointed me to the SI as an option on the SMF site.

I have definitely learned quite a bit from the experienced smokers on the forum and it really is great that we can share ideas amongst ourselves.

This is one of the very few forums I read and participate with on a consistent basis. I do think the forum could be improved in some technical ways but it works sufficiently enough to do an effective job.

Regardless, thanks for the "Hero" recognition and for continually making this a great place to exchange ideas and support.

You are spot on, this is a great place for sharing and learning. I for one have never really even posted in a forum before here. Also rarely have I shared recipes until I started seeing some of the posts in here. The folks here are great and new friends are joining every day.

Lots more to learn and share....

Already trying to decide what to smoke next :)
