Does or has anyone built in their #3?
« on: June 11, 2014, 11:24:21 AM »
I am building an outdoor kitchen and was thinking about purchasing a #3 and building it in.  Has anyone done this?  Does anyone have any pictures?  Thanks!!

Great idea!  I haven't heard of anyone doing this, so I'll be watching!

As long as you can figure out how to keep the hole on top cleared, I don't see why you couldn't.

Not just the top hole - the airflow to the bottom of the smoker is just as important.  The hole in the bottom is not just a drain, it's the source of air for the smoke box.  If you block off the bottom of the smoker, you'll probably have a hard time keeping your wood smoking.

Unless you cut off the legs and/or block all 4 bottom sides.  ;D

I plan on building in my smoker, but will keep it on the wheels in the event I need to move it.
