Start up help I cannot get controller to start.
« on: March 18, 2016, 10:35:48 PM »
I plugged my new unit in and followed the instructions. Hit set once, used the keys to get tempature to 250, hit set again but instead of T I get a program.

I could not get it back to the location to set the tempature so I was lost.

The temp. Got up to 100 degrees but would get any hotter.

Is there a way to just set the tempature without having to run a program?
None of which I have figured out yet

Sorry but I am lost with this thing.

Switch the unit off, then back on.  You need to complete all the steps.  After you have the temp set and the time, use the + and - buttons to get zero values for the steps you are not using. That should do it for you. It took me a while to get used to it.

Hi JK, and welcome!

The controller can be a bit confusing, at first, but once you play with it a bit, it's actually easy.  Just remember, the 3 elements of the 6 programs are 1. What box temp?  2.  What's the trigger? (Time "t" or Temperature "F"), and 3.  How much, or how long (temp or time).

Dave's right, turn the unit off, and start over.  Do this:

Press SET

Use the + button to select 250 in the right window.

Press SET

Use the +  or - to select "t" in the right window

Press SET again

Use + to set 4.0 in the right window

Keep hitting SET to cycle through steps 2-6.  Once you see a temp displayed in the left window, you are done!

Remember, 3 settings for each of the 6 program steps; box temp, trigger (time or temp), and how much.
