« on: September 06, 2014, 04:03:19 PM »
Fedex delivered 2 days early!!  Got the things unpacked, cleaned and started seasoning within 30 minutes! Probably not a record but thought I'd share anyway   :D

Got to go to someone else's  BBQ tonight so will have to wait until tomorrow to do some experimental chicken legs!

Wow, us kids and new toys   8)

Rick, now you have extra time to christen the #3.

I would recommend a nice rack of baby backs.

Xmas at the candy store.

I remember i seasoned mine in a severe thunderstorm.

Rick

All us kids love new toys.
I'll be 81 in December and I still get excited by new gadgets. That's not to say that the Smokin-it is a gadget because as we all have learned, it is a serious appliance, capable of almost anything you can expect from it.
If you are anything like some of us you may find later that you want do some cooking at higher temperatures.
I'm not going to go into the debate but just suggest that you read a lot on this forum and you will find a lot of good advise from people with more experience than me.

In the meantime, just enjoy the new smoker and welcome to the forum.
