Just got my 2d in Alabama

Just received my 2d and am seasoning it as I type this. Looks like a good quality smoker it is replacing my Bradley that burned up. One question what is the black angled metal piece that was in the box used for. Thanks in advance. John

That black angled piece is there solely to get people to make a first post so we can say HOWDY!  You can throw it away, it was just a stiffener in the packing.  Or save it for a future project ;D
