The flat isn’t going to have that Same jiggly feel like the point because it is leaner. Try the toothpick test on it, if the toothpick goes in easily, no tension, it’s done.

Wrapping it in foil and resting for a few hours in an ice chest/cooler will help it as well.

Correct, but it will relax and hang down, also it will yield when you press it.
