Unexpected wood source

I had an arborist come by the house to trim one of my trees that had become rather large and shaggy looking. After hauling most of it away he tells me that the tree is a fruitless pear tree. There were enough limbs left to fill a couple of cardboard boxes with 1.5' long sticks to let season. This tree might start losing limbs regularly if this ends up being any good. LOL!

I bet pear is similar to peach. Let us know how it goes!

The smoking wood chart that I looked up said that it was very close to apple.

That's interesting! I would have guessed more peach, but I guess apple is closer to a pear than a peach!
