Title: Appiteezers?
Post by: SkellyCA on May 23, 2014, 12:02:13 AM
There is a forum for just about everything, even one for deserts. I don't see one for Appiteezers?

I was thinking I might make some Wolf Turds this weekend, being Memorial Day Weekend. So I came here to look for that and other appiteezer recipes.

I would love to see a forum for this.

When I find out what wolf turds are, I'll make a section for them! ;)   Not sure how I missed an "appetizer" section, but I'll take care of that!  Thanks for the catch, Skelly!

This is from the Smoking Pig BBQ place near me...

Wolf Turds

Named by some ol'cowboy sitting by a campfire in Deep East Texas, this jalapeno stuffed with cheese and smoked sausage, wrapped in bacon and smoked for two hours will make your taste buds dance!

Stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon...how can that be anything but good?

...And yes they are.

Here's a couple more appiteezers from the same place...

Chicken Lollipops

Marinated, rubbed, wrapped in bacon and smoked, just grab the handle and enjoy!

Potato Grenade

Take a large spud, bake it, core it out, toss in a pile of shredded cheeses, a Wolf Turd and some of our famous Mac'n'Cheese, close it up, wrap in bacon and toss it on the smoker for a couple hours.  A real taste explosion!
