Newbie from Central MN
« on: August 25, 2018, 02:53:48 PM »
Greetings from MN.  After researching and reading many of the posts on this forum I pulled the trigger on a #1 and an Auber controller. Loaded up with a 3-pack of wood from Smokinlicious and a few rubs.
First smoke was chicken breasts with Cherry and they turned out great for sandwiches.  Just finished my first pork butt, see my question under the Pork forum.
Been smoking salmon and trout for years, looking forward to expanding into meats. Having a place like this to read others experiences using the exact same equipment convinced me to get started.

Welcome Big dog from Western Canada. I have had my #1 for almost 3 months and love it.  My first Salmon yesterday was a bit salty but it will be better next time.
