Smokin Nuts?
« on: February 19, 2016, 03:42:20 PM »
I've been looking on YouTube regarding smoking almonds, pecans, walnuts, etc.  Just curious if anyone on the forum has smoked different nuts before and how they turned out?  One fellow on YouTube puts a coating on them after putting a small amount of peanut oil on them and then smokes them, sounds like a good recipe, anyone had experience with nuts?

I purchased more cheese today and some sea salt that I plan to smoke hopefully this weekend if the temperature goes down....middle of February here in North Texas and it's 82 outside, good and bad, good it's not ice outside and bad the trees are blooming and will probably freeze again soon, no peaches, apricots, cherries, etc., probably this year ;>(

I do nuts all the time.  A little EVOO, favorite rub and let them in the smoker.

If you search nuts on the site I probably posted other pictures too

Ya, my wife just told me she's glad I like to do this, smoking thing ;-))
I do get a little carried away with things sometimes.
