Bummed out in San Antonio
« on: December 13, 2013, 05:36:22 PM »
YaY! I received my new smoker two days ago!  Problem is I also had a total right hip replacement two days ago.   All I can do is stare at the box now and envision many great smoke-outs to come. I must admit having it here is great motivation for my rehab. I hope to be up and smoking by Christmas Day. I was wanting to smoke a bone-out 12lb Prime Rib and sure could use any advice, do's and don'ts and/or a recipe I could follow. Thanks for any help, and, I sure enjoy reading your forum.

Grats on the smoker, bummer on not being able to do anything with it but stare at it. Though it is a majestic beast.

Congrats on the new #2, and the new hip, Tex!  You'll be running circles around that bad boy in no time!
