The forum crashed and Ben, the IT tech for SI has been working on it.  Right now, images will not show up according to Ben. But he is working it. As for me, I cannot access the forum with Safari.  Prior to the crash, I was having slow, intermittant success with Safari and I posted this and seemed to be the only member with the problem. Right now, I am on FireFox and all except images is fine.

The forum crashed. Ben is working on full restoration including images.

You are welcome. Sorry for the late response.  Ever since Big Sur updated to 11.4 I have had trouble accessing the forum.  Every other forum and site load quickly but since the upgrade Safari cannot connect.  It is intermittent.  Using FireFox is only slightly better. I was hoping the forum formate update would help but so far no dice. Sure is a struggle. The SI site itself works just fine.

Always good to have a smaker that can be manipulated such as cranking up the heat.

Contact Steve and see what he recommends. He does not list replacement controllers as a stock item so what he has would, I think, be for warranty repair only.  Maybe a special order.

I would roll it out when in use like Dave suggested.

Welcome to the forum from SE Arizona.

Is it possible that the Auber probe is resting in an air pocket previously filled with fat that has rendered out? Have you used an instant read thermometer to verify what the Auber is providing?

"Now if i coulf figure out this digital controller I will be set!"

I keep the instructions handy. I have two settings. Smoker temp and internal temp. Being simple minded, I keep things simple. No other programming at all. Geek is not in my DNA.
