Mounting the 2/2D on top of an outdoor kitchen/BBQ counter
« on: November 06, 2018, 03:52:36 PM »
I'm debating about purchasing the 2 or 2D and was wondering if anyone has placed it up on their outdoor kitchen/grill counter?  I've got a built-in grill and pizza oven and was thinking of placing the 3 (or 3D) next to it on the counter (without the rolling wheels).

From what I've seen, it looks like the drip tray wouldn't fit, so would need to elevate the four legs slightly.  Any thoughts or ideas of if this set-up would work?

Also, if I did go for the 2D, do you think the controls would be too high to see easily?  (I'm 5'10" tall)?

Take a look at the section "show us your set up".  Lots of good info.  Using the search feature will also produce many ideas.

I have my analog #2 on a table. Works great. However, I'm 6'-3". I changed the casters out to rubber feet.

Is that in your garage or basement?

I raised my house after Katrina and converted the bottom to a workshop / smoking area. Meat fridge & a stainless sink / table.  Works for me. Good luck.
