Nice bird!  There's be some good advice coming your way.  I can sure tell you how to smoke a domesticated turkey, but the wild ones are a whole other animal, as far as smoking, from what I understand.  I never have smoked a wild turkey, so I'll defer to our many hunters!  I also thought a wild bird would benefit from a brine and a good poultry wood, like cherry.

Great looking bird Judge.  If you get help or go it alone, let us know how it turned out. Maybe we can get a "wild game" section added to the forum.

Really nice bird Judge .... Congrats.

Had a friend smoke one in the past and he brined it after letting it hang a day. If I remember correctly he used peach in a stick burner for 4 uncovered and somewhere around 6 hours more wrapped. Best I can do...
