Title: New #2 pid questions

Hi , I just ordered a #2D, my question is since this controller came installed on the S.I. do I still need to do the auto tune that I've been reading about?

Negative. It should be ready to go. My 3D is running perfect with the factory setting. But being cautious of anything new I did baby back ribs just in case I needed to finish in the oven. They were perfect. No hiccups. Moved on to brisket and the smoke was flawless. Can't ask for anything better than perfection!

Thanks  Sarge, I also received a email from S.I stating the same thing you just said. I have to admit that is a relief I didn't really want to do the auto tune procedure.,
