Analog Temperature Limit Modification
« on: May 01, 2020, 08:27:45 AM »
Hello all, I hope you are remaining healthy and safe through this time.

I currently have a smokin-it model #2 with analog temperature control.  When I purchased I also purchased the PID control separately which I have struggled with because it would error mid cook. As a result I have just used the analog control which I have had great success, however you all know it is limited to 250 degrees.

Can someone provide help/guidance on how to modify so I can get smoker to 325 - 350?

Thank you

That would require a different controller because the stock controller is built to limit at 275 or there abouts. Even with a PID, you have to bypass the analog controller to get higher temps.

Yes, PID with bypass needed to go over 250. Here is the post from my bypass install. There are others in the Auber section.
