Adding PID to Sydney Camper

Hey folks the title pretty much sums it up.

I have an Auber WS-1211H and at some point in the near future will be purchasing the Sydney for tailgating.Would love to add my Auber to it.

I read the step by step by @DivotMaker posted.Its an older post and was wondering if those same steps hold true on newer smokers in particular the Sydney.
