Another Smokin-it Newb From Virginia
« on: June 26, 2023, 03:03:18 PM »
Hi everyone!

Greetings from Virginia! Just took delivery of a 3.5D wifi and Bella's CSG. Looking forward to seasoning the smoker so I can get to smoking some delicious meats! First up will be some venison summer sausage and some beef snack sticks.

I'm upgrading from a MES. It's given me years of great service, but it's too small for the batches I'm running these days.

Looking forward to joining the group and learning from everyone's experience!

Welcome from Delaware, Dan!   You should have plenty of good room in the 3.5D -- enjoy!   Let us know how the first smoke turns out.  Cheers

First smoke is on! 30 lbs of beef/venison summer sausage with jalapeƱos and high-temp cheddar. About half-way through the smoke - so far, it's excellent!

Also have a few lbs of chipotle snack sticks waiting for their turn in the 3.5D tomorrow...

Edit: 12.5 hrs in... Gotta love the stall...
