Surf & Turf
« on: January 30, 2016, 08:15:14 PM »
I started a thread HERE about some Sous Vide Steaks I was doing for tonight.

I promised to post pics of it when done so since I am a man of my word, here you go!

After the Sous Vide bath, I took the steaks from their bags and dried them off and added some more kosher salt and onto a screaming hot grilling steel they went! After they were done the shrimp went on to get a nice caramelization on them. The marinade I made for this was a big hit! My Wife made a mushroom sauce to top the steaks with and it was killer!

Served up with a little baby spring mix salad, baker and garlic bread. This was as good as a meal as I've had in some time!

After the bath, dried off and ready for the grill

Holy Guacamole Batman! Look at that CRUST!

Time for the shrimpies to get in on the action

Ain't they purty?

Let's eat!

The $$$ shot!!

Indeed it did, lol

I need to buy more. I usually buy 80-100 pounds at a time, sometimes more.

I figured you'd like it :) I posted the Sous Vide part of this cook in the Sous Vide section and the grilling part here. If you'd rather consolidate them into the Sous Vide section then feel free to do so. I can't wait to see your pics and hear of the results!!!
