Why'd the "Little Guy" get left out of the party?  A rack would be great!  On the lowest shelf, I'd be able to cut two racks of spares in half, and stack them 4 across (I'm pretty sure).  Now, I can only fit 1 1/2 racks in using 3 shelves.

I will ask Steve what the plans are for the little brother.  I use rib hooks for my #1 hanging off the highest rack.

Thanks,

Thanks Ben!  Can't leave the little guy out!  There was a post about the rib hooks earlier; we'd love to hear your feedback on them!

Talked to Steve and the rib racks for the #1 and #2 are already in process.  I will post when they are available for sale on the web site.

Thanks,
Ben

So what would the advantage be for using the rib racks over the regular shelving in a #3?

Etex.....I have a nephew that has one for his Weber smoker and he could cook twice as many ribs as I could.  Plus one rack is easier to clean than laying ribs on three or four racks.  Because I have a model 2, I have to cut mine in half.....so I use many more shelves.  Wish I now would have bought the 3.  But maybe after a year, I will just get the big daddy.

Thanks 1959.  I thought space might be the reason, but wondered if there were any other advantages.  I have the #3 and normally would not put more than a couple of racks in, so I am probably o.k. The #3 is nice.  Have not filled it up yet.  Still experimenting with the different items.  Have done ribs, butts in the last few weeks.  Getting both knees replaced next week and am stocking the freezer.  Did as 12 lb brisket yesterday, have a 8 lb butt on now, have chicken and ribs in the waiting line.  Thanks for your response.

Good luck with the knees, Tex!  At least you'll eat well while you're laid-up! ;D

Thanks Divot.  Not sure if I will have the appetite to eat a lot of it for a while.  Just trying to make it easier on the Mrs.

Good luck to you too, John!  Just a thought, but it's probably from lifting those 200 lb cats you catch! ;)

Thanks Puddle.  I will let you know how it went.  I have it on the 24th.   After a few days of recuperating and coming home hopefully I will have something positive to report.  Had ortho surgery on both, but it was like using fix a flat.  Worked good for a while but did not fix the problem.
