I am curious to know if the mod will be retroactive to former units, or will this be for just a new model. Thanks.

For older units, it might be getting two new sides, and you just swap out the old sides......if it will be that simple

On my #1, the leg tubes are welded to the side panels, so I don't think that will be an option. Don't know how the 3s are built.
