Model 2 stopped working - no light, knob stuck
« on: September 25, 2018, 06:15:56 AM »
My model 2 stopped working. Light won't turn on, control knob is very hard to turn. Checked the wall power outlet and confirmed I have working power. Mine is the analog controller. Do they sell a replacement controller?

That is just the faceplate.  The controller is a separate item, $24.95.  Not sure about the availability of the light.

When anything goes wrong, I find, the best course of action is to remove the rear panel and closely inspect all wires. I have had a wire part on a few occasions. Simple fix once the offending wire is found. Good luck

I would think that being hard to turn, something has melted or fused. The light will not come on if the knob (switch) can not complete the circuit. If it were me I would order a new controller then take it apart. You can always send the controller back but having it in hand when you open up the smoker will save time and hassle. It may be just a wire but I believe it is more. I am surprised you didn't blow the breaker.
