I do like Raichlans book - http://barbecuebible.com/book/barbecue-bible-sauces-rubs-and-marinades-bastes-butters-and-glazes/

I like to tinker with recipes as I imagine many of us do so I use established recipes as a starting point and adjust as the mood strikes me....  lots of great recipes in that book!

I know Lampe is pretty respected in the BBQ community as well and this book looks interesting too!  - https://www.amazon.com/Flavorize-Marinades-Injections-Brines-Glazes/dp/1452125309
