Building my outdoor kitchen
« on: December 14, 2016, 10:45:12 PM »
I've dreamed of having an outdoor kitchen since we moved in to our house 6.5 yrs ago.

Over the last few weeks, I finally developed my plans, purchased a 4 burner stainless grill, single side burner and 30" cabinet. I got my materials this past weekend and today my good buddy and I started building. Not sure when I'll have it completed due to the cold weather coming next week, which will slow me down on stucco, but I can't wait to be able to use!

Here's the first pic from today's progress. Took a while to get the base level and anchored to the flagstone. Tomorrow, should be able to get cement board up and plywood base for the countertop.

Cool, a hanging kitchen.  How unusual.
Cheers

I am using my garage as my kitchen--love the smell of my cars!  Great project, love to see updates as you get them.

Hi Jeremy. like you I really wanted an outdoor kitchen and I really wanted a built in smoker. The model 3 fit the bill nicely. I love it!

Nice set up Tim! I love how you built in the #3. I may look into doing something like that in phase 2 of the build! I'm planning on making a steel pipe table to come off the right side and may creat some type of enclosure to store the 3D while not in use.

I'm coming along with mine. I usually have a day or two to work on it if the weather cooperates. I also changed countertops halfway they to a slab granite vs tiles. Love It now that I changed my mind! Basecoat stucco went on and color coat in a few weeks when I get another few days of warmer weather.

That counter top is beautiful, Jeremy!  That will be really nice, when you get the time to finish it!

And the project is done! I do have a few small touch ups to do but we are fully operable! Even did some filet to break in the grill. And my wife suggested we get a patio heater so we can sit out there in the cooler months! So excited for the space to come alive!!

And even smoked my first brisket today - even though it wasn't the best!
