If the red light stays on 50 degrees past the set temp is that a calibration issue or a bad rheostat?

Played with it a little more this morning and power kicks back on pretty close to set point, -10, but just doesn't shut off when it is supposed to.  Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Sounds like the rheostat may be going out, Dave.  I'd contact Steve...should still be under warranty.
