Don't foil the bricks !!!!!!

Agreed. You want the bricks to serve as a heat sink not a deflector.

Pulled or sliced brick?  Pics?

As for what you got for P I D, that is geek speak:

Internet definition:  "A proportional–integral–derivative controller (PID controller) is a control loop feedback mechanism (controller) commonly used in industrial control systems. A PID controller continuously calculates an error value as the difference between a desired setpoint and a measured process variable."

Hopefully someone will be along who can put it in simple English.

For the cooks I have done, I have the instructions open and follow to the letter.  So far so good.  As long as I can set the cook temp and the time OR the internal temp, I am good to go. Getting better with practice.

Milan, before you do another autotune, test your settings by setting up the smoker, as you would for the tune, and just run a cooking program.  You can use the same you used for the autotune, just don't enable the AT.  See if it holds temps like it should, then decide if another tuning is needed.
